While the A4 Allroad attempts to look like a rugged SUV, it doesn’t have the credentials to back up the styling. While it is slightly higher, with skid plates, meaty-looking wheels, and lower body cladding, it doesn’t offer increased off-road capabilities. Power comes from a turbo 2.0-liter four making 220 hp teamed with an eight-speed auto; all-wheel drive is standard. If you’re looking for all-weather transportation, the Allroad works, but if you want true off-road ability, keep looking.
