The Canyon is the upscale cousin to the Chevy Colorado; as with the Colorado, the “mid-size” Canyon is actually longer than its full-size sibling. Extended- and crew-cab styles as well as five- and six-foot beds are available; so is a six-speed manual for base models, while the rest get a six-speed automatic. A 200-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 191 lb-ft is standard; a 305-hp 3.6-liter V-6 with 269 lb-ft of torque or a 2.8-liter turbodiesel with 181 hp and 369 lb-ft are optional.
